VILLAGE OF ARMASA

Village of Armasa, as shown in CRIMSON CREST, p. 15

The village of Armasa is an old rural settlement in Alebriz. Known for its completely natural way of life and its strong rejection of urbanization, the village prospered quietly for years. It is the closest village to Crimson Crest Mountain, from which they obtain all their resources.

HISTORY

Armasa was originally a common village with barely any technology. Its inhabitants lived a peaceful life until the Silver Point tribe incident.

One day, without knowing what was happening, the village was visited by armed men who began killing all its inhabitants without exception—men, women, elders, and children. After the village was eradicated, what remained of the Silver Point tribe was relocated there to live.

Once relocated, the new inhabitants repopulated Armasa to make it their permanent home.

The river running through the village helped the inhabitants prosper and continue growing, giving them the opportunity to farm and produce handicrafts, as the old tribe used to do. Over the years, Mount Urusarus became the village’s main provider. This eventually led the village to fight for its protection against PROELIUM, sparking a month-long conflict.

Despite having the upper hand, PROELIUM reached an agreement with the village of Armasa. They would cede all protection of the mountain to the village in exchange for PROELIUM maintaining a permanent presence within its limits to continue investigating Urusarus-SN, funding the construction of a resistant fence demarcating a large part of the mountain. In addition, PROELIUM stripped and banned all technology within the village to ensure that nothing that happened there would come to light.

This became known as: the Urusarus Treaty.

CHARACTERISTICS

Armasa is characterized as a 100% rural village.

Its main income came from harvests and from Crimson Crest Mountain, where tourists paid for camping and guided tours.

The river running through the village is one of its main features—a river born from the mountain itself that flows into a lake far from the village.

The only technology existing within the village is the radio signal and a telephone in the sheriff’s office, which is administered by PROELIUM.
