—This isn’t work, miss, it’s our service to the mountain.
—That’s right. The mountain takes care of us, and we take care of it.
Two guardians, talking about the mountain.
The Crimson Crest mountain (formerly called “Urusarus”) is a forested area of Alebriz, near the village of Armasa.
ORIGIN
Urusarus Mountain was once an ordinary mountainous area, featuring natural zones and forested areas where tourism was barely noticed.
It was not until many years later, when the Silver Point tribe arrived at the mountain and began excavating it for precious minerals, that the transformation of the mountain began.
These excavation activities released the Xankus for the first time, eventually giving rise to the mountain’s peculiar fauna, including the Crimson Crest birds.
Over the years, the mountain came under the jurisdiction of the new village of Armasa and PROELIUM, who were responsible for regulating tourism. However, this served as a perfect façade for PROELIUM to kidnap people within the mountain territory in order to experiment with the Xankus in their underground laboratory.
FEATURES
The mountain is mostly composed of dense trees and both natural and artificial trails, allowing tourists to navigate the area.
Its fauna includes a wide range of animals, such as birds, foxes, deer, and insects. The flora varies from towering trees to tiny flowers. This combination of natural life makes the mountain a highly attractive tourist destination.
Hidden deep within is a spring located in a natural valley surrounded by mountain formations. Access is highly restricted, even for Armasa residents, and it is guarded by PROELIUM personnel, as stipulated in the Urusarus Treaty. The entrance to PROELIUM’s research and development laboratory is also located at this site.
Throughout the area, entrances to underground caves can be found—remnants of the old excavation sites from when the Silver Point tribe arrived. While unconfirmed, it is believed that several people have entered these tunnels and never returned.
After the conclusion of the Urusarus Treaty, PROELIUM fortified much of the mountain, constructing a strong wire fence to delimit the area and disguise it as a research field under the guise of a tourist park.
POINTS OF INTEREST
Camping Clearings: Throughout the mountain, clearings are designated for tourists to camp. Camping outside these areas is strictly prohibited.
Old Village of Armasa: The old settlement where the Silver Point tribe established themselves upon arriving at the mountain. Only charred remains of this place still stand.
Underground Caves: Scattered across the area, some visible and others hidden, these caves extend throughout the mountain. They are within the boundaries and tourists may enter at their own risk.
River: A long and wide river runs through the mountain down to the village of Armasa. It is ideal for observing wildlife, but fishing is prohibited. The river originates from the mountain’s spring.
Spring: A restricted point of interest for all unauthorized personnel. This sacred spring sustains life in Armasa, providing an unlimited supply of clean water for consumption and irrigation. Its access is naturally protected by the mountain itself, as it lies in the middle of a large valley surrounded by rock formations, resembling a crater.
